Special Offering

6    Pujemi suddham sambuddham
      bhojanam parikappitam
      niccameva sukhita hontu
      bhojana sabbapanino

      By offering this clean and well-prepared food,
      to the fully enlightened Buddha,
      may all beings be nourished
      and their hunger allayed.

      Parisuddham sitalam yam tam
      paniyam pujitam maya
      pavahantu mala sabbe
      cittesu sabba paninam

      By offering this water,
      fresh, clean and cool,
      may the minds of all beings,
      be washed of impurities.

      Pujemi panam bhesajjam
      rogapaharanam imam
      santa ajjhattika roga
      sukhino hontu panino

      By offering this medicine,
      that removes all sickness,
      may all beings be cured,
      and abide in perfect health.


Visuddhi || The Purification

7    Kayena vaca cittena
      pamadena maya katam
      accayam khama me bhante
      bhuripanna tathagata

      If, by body, speech or mind,
      I have carelessly done wrong,
      may I be forgiven,
      O Tathagatha of great wisdom.

      Accayam me katam Buddha
      yam tam avikaromi te
      anavatam asallinam
      suddham bhavatu me manam

      By acknowledging my transgressions
      with openness and honesty
      before the Buddha most wise,
      may my mind be always pure.

      Kayena vaca cittena
      yam parena katam aham
      khamami dani tam sabbam
      samma Sambuddha sammukha

      If, by body, speech or mind,
      others have done me wrong,
      I forgive them everything now,
      before the fully enlightened Buddha.

      So 'ham khamami niddukkha
      khemino viharantu te
      purentu mama sankappa
      mettaya karunaya ca

      Through my readiness to forgive,
      may they be safe and free from sorrow,
      and may my each and every thought
      be filled with kindness and love.

      Kayena vaca cittena
      yam katam sukatam maya
      anumodayami annesam
      samma Sambuddha sammukkha

      If, by body, speech or mind,
      I have done others good,
      I gladly share my merit with all,
      before the fully enlightened Buddha.

      Modami nihata manena
      punnena sukatena me
      tatheva panino sabbe
      adhigacchantu tam sukham

      With a mind free from pride,
      I rejoice in my own good deeds,
      wishing that all beings everywhere
      may share in my happiness.

9    Sadhu! Sadhu! Sadhu!
      Rejoice! Rejoice! Rejoice!
