CLOSING CHANT

Manopubbaṅgamā dhammā

manoseṭṭhā manomayā
Manasā ce paduṭṭhena

bhāsati vā karoti vā
Tato naṁ dukkhamanveti

cakkaṁ va vahato padaṁ.

All things are preceded by mind, 

mind comes first, they are made of mind. 

If one speaks or acts 

with a negative mind, 

suffering follows, 

as the wheel of the cart follows the foot of the ox.

Tato naṁ sukhamanveti

chāyā va anapāyinī.

All things are preceded by mind, 

mind comes first, they are made of mind. 

If one speaks or acts 

with a positive mind, 

happiness follows, 

like a never-departing shadow.
